Paying attention to the cultural heritage represented by the Islamic manuscript, its sustainability, and providing scientific and intellectual tender within the academic framework for the service of society. The Society works to achieve its goals of meeting the urgent need imposed by the low level of preservation of Islamic manuscripts and not making many of them available to researchers and encouraging them to make additional efforts to improve the heritage reality and provide each specialist with the manuscripts he needs or any information that helps him to advance his specialization.

The organization’s goals

1. Collecting and publishing the Islamic manuscript and encouraging its study.
2. Collecting and documenting the achievements of specialists in history and archeology, making a bibliography of those achievements, creating a scientific guide for specializations, workplaces and experiences, and establishing a nucleus for a scientific library specialized in the field of investigation and publication of manuscripts.
3. Carrying out social and recreational activities to consolidate the relationship between specialists and those interested in various sciences on a national and scientific basis and creating common spaces for dialogue and understanding in line with the scientific movement in the country through holding courses and seminars.
4. Striving to develop scientific and heritage competencies in a manner that suits them.
5. Strengthening relations with libraries, universities and similar heritage institutions with the aim of exchanging experiences and benefits inside and outside Iraq.
6. Issuing manuscript indexes and activating the joint publishing project with libraries, governmental heritage institutions and others.
7. The association sets standards for best practices in the fields of cataloging, preservation, digitization and academic publishing; Which may contribute to making manuscripts better available and preserving them for future generations, and support scientific excellence in the field of Islamic manuscripts; Especially the study of Islamic manuscripts and related studies. The association provides researchers with Islamic manuscripts and provides scientific research on Islamic manuscripts and their protection.
8. Opening channels of communication and cooperation with Arab and international scientific bodies of common interest in this field through exchanging experiences, participating in conferences and seminars, and creating training opportunities for specialists in the field of manuscripts.
